Key takeaways

We don’t know if we’ve mentioned this, but Hormona is exhibiting at TechCrunch 2022. And it’s happening today! Karolina and Jasmine are in San Francisco right now, representing all the Hormonas, so we grabbed a few minutes with Jasmine on the eve of the show to talk all things TechCrunch, hormones, and the oh-so-incredible possibilities… And yes, we did ask about Serena Williams. Because she’s there too!

How are you both feeling on the eve of TechCrunch?

Stressed and excited in equal measure!

This is probably the biggest moment in Hormona’s life so far, so no pressure! In all honesty, though, this is such a great opportunity to shine a light on women’s health, and hormone health in particular. We’re so proud to have been selected as part of the startup battlefield 200 at TechCrunch 2022!

Has either of you ever done anything like this before?

Before starting Hormona neither of us had ever done anything like this before! But as part of our Hormona journey, we’ve been to a couple of conferences to raise awareness about what we’re trying to achieve. And we actually pitched — and won — SLUSH100 last December, so we’ve had a little bit of training… Although I think TechCrunch is going to be a different beast entirely!

What are you most looking forward to at TechCrunch 2022?

Oh, that’s a tough one — there are so many exciting things going on at TechCrunch! Just being able to exhibit during the conference and share what we do with such a wide audience is amazing. But we’re also looking forward to meeting and listening to other inspiring founders and game changes, and starting to build our presence in the U.S.

How big is the potential for Hormona after exhibiting there?

The sky’s the limit! For real, we think the exposure from an event like this could really help bring awareness to what we’re trying to do at Hormona! The app is just the starting point, and to be able to share our long-term vision of everyday hormonal healthcare — for all women — through a platform like TechCrunch 2022 is a huge opportunity.

How excited are you about potentially meeting Serena Williams at TechCrunch?

If meeting Serena Williams was a guarantee, we’d be pretty stoked! But, unfortunately, it’s not. We will, however, be listening in to her panel and trying to catch her for a second or two to tell her all about Hormona!

You’re going to smash it, right? Any sneak peeks into the exhibition?

Of course we will! And nope — it’s a secret til TechCrunch!
