Common questions

About the app

Where is the app available?

The app is available worldwide in Swedish and English. You can download it via AppStore and Google Play.

How do I create an account?

Creating an account is super easy!

Once you’ve downloaded the Hormona app from the iOS or Google Play Stores, open the app and follow the onboarding steps. Don’t forget to read and accept both our Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy before creating an account – your data security is important to us.

Then simply add your email address and create a password. We’ll send you an email to verify your address, and once you’ve verified, your account is activated! All you have to do then is decide whether to stay with Hormona Freemium, our free-to-use version, or to opt-in to Hormona+ for exclusive features and benefits.

What smartphone can I download the app on?

Our app is compatible with iPhones running iOS 13.4 or higher, and Android Smartphones running version 6 and above.

Can I use the app if I have an irregular cycle?

Anyone with a cycle can use the app, and get a lot out of it. If your cycle is irregular, your experience will differ slightly from users with regular cycles. That’s because your hormones may not follow the same hormonal ups and downs of a regular cycle, so the graph showing hormonal fluctuations on the main screen, won’t accurately reflect what’s happening in your cycle.

Furthermore, the content you see is aimed at regulating your cycle and contains tips on how to balance your hormones. We are currently working on an even more comprehensive design specifically for users with irregular cycles.

What cycle lengths are supported by the app?

Generally speaking, the Hormona app supports all cycle lengths but regular cycle content and information is centered around a cycle of 21-38 days. However, if your cycle is shorter or longer, there’s still tons of stuff that’s useful, aimed at supporting your cycle and hormones. We are continuously working on improving the app so we can provide better support to women with any cycle length.
